Today we bring you a very special episode with the legendary writer and journalist Jack McCallum. Joining the staff of Sports Illustrated in 1981, Jack has witnessed the political and social changes in America through the prism of basketball for decades and was honoured by the Basketball Hall Of Fame for his work in 2005. McCallum is perhaps best known for his coverage of the first team of professionals ever to take part in the Olympic basketball tournament in 1992. He is credited with coining the name “The Dream Team”. In this one of a kind episode he speaks to Jarlath about his career in the game and how the union of superstars Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Larry Bird changed basketball and the wider world forever.
