Inside Intermission Intermission Gallery

In this weeks Inside Intermission episode we will be hearing from Georgia Milford in regards to their exciting new show, Softness in Burnt Things, which is published on Intermission Gallery's Instagram this week. Within the exhibition, Softness of Burnt Things offers a personal and intimate visual connection between object and personal transformation. These objects, having survived the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires along side artist Georgia Milford, allows the audience to resonate with the relationship between object, body, trauma and the elements of change. This exhibition allows the audience to treat themselves and the spaces around them with softness. 

Knowing Me follows artist Emily Winslade's most influential works of her artistic career since enrolling in Fine Art studies. By viewing the online exhibition as a collection of works it is clear to see that self-portraiture and representation are common themes that she continuously explores. Each work acts as a conscious depiction of herself through an emphasis of identity and relationships. Whether that is the relationship with her body, queerness, gender and style or the relationships she has with those closest to her.

‘Poetry in Blue’ is an exploration of the colour blue. The exhibition is a visual poem of all that is blue, day and night, dark and light, water and air. In her oil paintings, Adele Bauer explores the fleeting nature of memory and the present moment. Maddie Crockett explores the ephemeral processes of life cycles of nature through her cyanotypes of pressed flowers.
