    Welcome to Inside the Minds of Authors. Hope you are doing amazing on this lovely Monday evening. We have the pleasure of chatting with the Award-Winning Author, David A. Bowles. We are discussing his latest book, The Sherriff of Starr County.
    David A. Bowles is an International Award-Winning author who has published five novels in the series known as the Westward Sagas®. The stories are based on his great-grandmother’s family, and their journey from Chester County, Pennsylvania to Texas. The author is the fifth generation of his family to be born in Austin, Texas. His stories are based on years of historical research.
     
    A prolific writer, Mr. David has written hundreds of stories about history, true-life characters, and ones he created. The fifth book in the series, The Sheriff of Starr County, was released February 7, 2023.     Welcome to Inside the Minds of Authors. Happy Memorial Day to everyone in the US who is honoring this day. If you are new to the podcast, we are dedicated to bringing you passionate authors with exciting books. This evening, we have the pleasure of chatting with the award-winning author, Gary D. Wilson. We are discussing his recent novel, The Narrow Window, released this year.  
    Gary D. Wilson is also the author of the novels Sing, Ronnie Blue and Getting Right. Although his short fiction has appeared in numerous national literary magazines, For Those Who Favor Fire is his first published collection of stories. He has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and named a finalist for the Iowa Short Fiction Award and the Drue Heinz Literary Prize. Gary has taught fiction writing at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Chicago Graham School. He currently lives in Chicago.     Diego Báez is a writer, educator, and abolitionist. He is the recipient of fellowships from CantoMundo, the Surge Institute, and the Poetry Foundation’s Incubator for Community-Engaged Poets. His writing has appeared in Freeman’s, The Rumpus, Harriet Books, and The Georgia Review. He lives in Chicago and teaches at the City Colleges.

Her career in sales and marketing at technology companies led to executive management. After retirement, she returned to school for an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She is also the author of the novel “Land of Last Chances,” published in 2019.
