On today's podcast episode, I had my good friend Arianna Coy on the show to discuss our passion for advocacy and social justice. We shared how this passion aligns with the Lord and how the Lord is a God of justice.

This was a hard episode for me to record. I recently was officially diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). For me it has been incredibly hard to navigate through life with the invalidation that I have received from those who don't know that PTSD is a more common disorder than many might realize. PTSD affects more than just war veterans. In this podcast episode I share what that looks like. This summer I was recommended the book "The Body Keeps The Score". This book is written by: Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk a researcher and trauma expert who explains what exactly happens to the Brain, Mind, and Body in the healing of trauma.

On this episode I had special guest, Emili Henry. If you don't already know Emili, she is my very good friend. She witnessed a moment where I was experiencing an anxiety attack. Through that I was able to open up to her about my struggles with anxiety and she got to see it first-hand. Emili is a singer/song writer who has multiple songs on Spotify, including her most relevant song to my life " When I don't know how to breath". Emili wrote this song during the midst of her own personal struggles with anxiety, and I really have resonated with the Lyrics. 
During this episode we talk about her newest song, our struggles with anxiety, and how it has brought us closer with one another. This was possibly my favorite podcast episode yet. I truly loved being able to share this intimate moment with y'all.
