Why "one stone at a time"? Well, it answers the question: "how does a wall or a house or a church get built?" One stone at a time! Each act of kindness, each sacrifice of service, each word spoken in faith and love is a stone that builds up the edifice of Christ's body, the Church, here on earth as it is in heaven. Be encouraged as you hear updates and testimonies from our ministry leaders, as well as a review of the year-that-was from Dan. 19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. Ephesians 2:19-22 (NIV)

Grow G1 Acts 10:44-48 depicts the Holy Spirit being poured out on Gentiles, Luke 11:13 emphasizes God giving the Holy Spirit to those who ask, and Ephesians 5:18 commands believers to be filled with the Spirit. How do these passages collectively illuminate the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer? G2 Luke 11:13 records Jesus' promise that the Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. How does this promise impact our prayer life and our dependence on God's Spirit for guidance, strength, and understanding? G3 Ephesians 5:18 instructs believers to be filled with the Spirit. What does it mean practically to be filled with the Spirit, and how does this command relate to living a life that honors God and reflects His character? G4 Acts 10:44-48 and Ephesians 5:18 both emphasize the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit. How does being filled with the Spirit empower believers to live out their faith and engage in God's mission in the world? Show S1 Ken Schenck describes being filled with the Spirit in the following way "We can imagine that the most typical manifestation of the Holy Spirit is a sense of peace and assurance, a sense that, in fact, you are received by God and at peace with him. Ask him for this most wonderful gift: the gift of the Holy Spirit".
