Fact is "knowing" isnt good enough. We all know we should work out, or eat healthier, yet knowing alone doesnt mean anything... the action is needed to make it benefitial to know anything. So today's video I ask you... what will you DO... what precise plans do you have, and what steps are you taking to get there.

I had made a goal to make 1 video a week this year, and realized I was cutting it close to missing my deadline... that is because I wasnt precise on the goal... which day, what time, am i going to post, whats the deadline to be done with the edit...etc.

From here on, every Thursday at noon, I will release these videos, this is the last "off-schedule" post. What is it in your life that you have given slack in? What is it you can be more definite on?

How much of your personality do you show while at work?

Today I had a business meeting with Danielle E Rush at Little Lady Cafe, the topic sparked up about "how to present yourself as a business owner of multiple interests." Do you minimize yourself and stay really strict on business only? Or do you let some personality through during your meetings? Or what if you own multiple businesses? Do you change the hats your wearing... or always where the hat, that simply is yourself?

I believe personality is key. With no personality is not interest or trust. Our aim is to be as professional as possible, without hiding our personalities. Once you hide yourself, you are being unnatural and you wont last long in that lane. Let your personality bleed through, this will lead to enjoying work, meetings, and creating content, which leads to consistency, which leads to success... no one can succeed when inconsistent, and no one can be consistent long enough in something they are not enjoying.

If you have to put on a mask or a hat for each business, you are missing the point... all your endeavors are linked to you, you are in them for a reason... so wear that hat.

My goal is to help people through the power of video.

"I dont have time for social media for my business"

This is a very common myth... we all have the time, here are some tricks to help you out... thanks to Anthony Brozik at Detailed Quality LLC by Anthony Brozik for the collab.

If you have a smart phone, or camera of any kind, you can succeed with content creation on social media. Make sure to check the comment section for an example of all the content I was able to grab while casually shadowing Anthony during his detail

"How do I charge or pay a fair rate?"  This question asked by Mark is a very common issue I hear about, so here is my take on it.  When considering the fair price or rate, I would argue "fairness" has nothing to do with the price or rate, but rather the results. 

Whether you pay a lot, or pay little, as long as you get the results you want, it is fair... whether you pay a lot, or little, and you don't get the results you want... it seems unfair.

"How do I choose content".

This question was asked by Jamie and I knew it was something all business owners needed to hear.

Business owners know the content on social media is important, yet they rarely follow through, because they don't know what to post. They over-analyze it. Don't try to create things out of thin air, instead think about it more as documenting... as something comes up, record it. You'll have more content than you ever thought.

My dad always said "Quality over Quantity" and I agree when it comes to purchasing... but, when it comes to creating, this is not true...Quantity is king.

Business Owners, what are you spending far too much time on, trying to "perfect" that is already good to go? Work on improving all your next steps, rather than overthinking the first.
