A lot of people have told us that our relationship is dynamic all our lives. After we got into business together, our relationship grew. During this episode we talk about the importance of legacy and how it has kept black and minority families from long term success all these years. We also share our plans for the future and for our families. What does legacy look like to us? How are we setting the foundation for a continued legacy? We believe we're living the true American dream, and creating a new American dream for our kids and for Shaundell, his grandkids.

During this episode, Shaundell & Tiara introduce themselves and their business. They take a deeper dive into how they got into business (individually and collectively). They briefly touch on the interesting dynamic of being a father/daughter duo. As family members, who are in business together, legacy is very important to Shaundell and Tiara, and for different reasons. They share some personal stories, about members of their family that have inspired their journey. 

The hosts also talk about some of the business trends in the country right now. Currently, it's how the U.S. economy will recover overall from COVID-19. Additionally, they discuss how they both feel the government and small business resources have handled the challenges of COVID-19 and how they've assisted small businesses/entrepreneurs through it all. Shaundell shares his experience from surviving and thriving through the 2009 recession. Tiara talks about some of the biggest challenges for her personally and professionally through all of this.

Let's Talk Business is a dynamic podcast featuring  an incredible father and daughter duo of entrepreneurs, Shaundell Newsome and Tiara Flynn. This introduction features the Two-Time SBA Award Winner Shaundell with his story and journey to entrepreneurship. You will see that business ownership is definitely in his blood. He started his first business at fourteen years old during the days of the birth of Hip Hop in Brooklyn, New York. He attended the High School of Graphic Communication Arts and quickly fell in love with Marketing and Advertising, idolizing the great David Ogilvy who is considered the godfather of modern advertising and branding.  

Shaundell spent 10 years in the United States Air Force learning and adopting behaviors that have made him a successful businessman. "The Air Force taught me mission focus, leadership and structure along with the pursuit of excellence." Newsome says.
