A conversation with Sara Im on gratefulness, love and never giving up hope.

Join Michele Jones on the podcast today and her special guest, Sara Im. She's an author of the book, "How I survived the killing fields"

She grew up in Cambodia, enjoying a wonderful childhood filled with love from her family. However, when she went to college, the country went through a communist military takeover, and she found herself unable to return home or even make a phone call. Eventually, she ended up in a camp, where she faced the harsh challenges of illnesses like malaria and typhoid. Malnutrition took its toll, and she lost her night vision. Despite these hardships, she persevered for four years until she successfully escaped. Her story is a testament to her incredible strength and resilience. On today's show, she shares her unique faith-filled insights with us.

    Takeaways

    Set your intention
Believe in yourself and don’t give up on yourself
Never give up hope, keep your focus on the one
    things that keeps you going
Keep love in your heart, even when you are in
your darkest day, keep love for self and others and remember that someone loves
    you.
Remember that’s why we are here, is to connect, love
    and care for others
Look for the goodness in others

A conversation with author Michaela Paluck, on being brave

A conversation with author Michaela Paluck, on being brave

    Takeaways:

    ·  Without fear you don’t get the chance to be
    brave

    ·  Bravery isn’t something you have to do or become-
it’s just showing up and doing it

    ·  It’s ok to be a scaredy cat.

    ·  It’s not always a big step, it’s a small step towards
    doing the thing.

    ·  Noticing that sometimes our inner beliefs need some
rewiring. That we are worthy and that we get to define who we are.
