He has worked in the financial industry since 1992.

Prior to joining Compass, he worked at Wells Fargo Private Bank from 2004 to 2011 where he managed portfolios for high-net-worth and institutional clients.

From 1998 to 2004, he managed portfolios for a Forbes 100 family at Tonkawa, Inc., a Minneapolis area family office. Prior to that, he worked at the University of Minnesota Foundation from 1996 to 1998, IDS advisory group from 1994 to 1996 and Sit Investment Associates from 1992 to 1994.

Mark received a BS in finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, an MBA in finance from the University of St Thomas, and received a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
