#9 “Survival Mode Gets A Bad Rap”
As someone who’s no stranger to “survival mode” (hello motherhood), I’ve come to the conclusion that it gets a bad rap! It takes SO MUCH to just survive. I truly believe the opposite of surviving isn’t thriving, it’s dying. Survival skills are praised in the wilderness. So why isn’t survival praised in other wilderness facets of life?!

#8 “Must Be Nice”
You ever muttered those three little words under your breath or even just thought that as you’re scrolling through people’s highlight reels on social media?? Yeah, me neither… (haha, right!) Maybe it’s time to start unfollowing people who cause those thoughts + feelings or better yet, instead of harboring jealousy, take a look at your own life and practice some gratitude for what YOU have!!

We can spend a lot of time wishing away the season we’re in. But what if we chose to surrender to our season?? What if our New Years goal was simply to receive the mercy of God that is new every morning?! Our hope isn’t in a new YEAR but in the NEW thing that God is doing IN us - right in the season we’re in!!

What we look at, what we focus on, what we chose to believe and who we follow - it all has a profound effect on who we are. We choose what we fix our eyes on. We choose whether to dwell on the good or the bad. On fear or faith. It’s all a choice! And all our choices add up. We are products of what we choose and what we behold. So, what are you beholding??

The lies and deceptions we believe about our story. Which often leads to shame, and shame hides. But we aren’t meant to live hidden!

#4 “Practicing Stillness”
In a world that tells us to “eat pray hustle” and equates busyness with productivity, it can be hard to know how to be still. When you are intentional and set time aside to be still, it brings mental clarity as well as soul clarity. Life and growth is all around you! If you just look up, lean in and listen, you’ll find so much beauty in God’s creation. When we getaway from and turn off distractions (the things that suck the life out of us) we will find the BREATH of life all over those sweet moments!
