    Midwestern State head men's and women's tennis coach Scott Linn discusses the challenges his teams face week-in and week-out, and the on-court battles throughout the course of the season.



    Midwestern State complete its most successful season in women’s tennis with a berth in the national semifinals at the NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Championships in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The Mustangs had some outstanding individual performances throughout the course of the season, and excelled as a team. The Mustangs earned two victories in the NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Championships, including a dramatic win over Wingate on a steamy night in the quarterfinals. MSU also coasted to a 4-0 win over Queens College in the Round of 16. The bulk of the team is likely to return to Midwestern State next spring, so expectations will be high in 2025.

    This week's Stang Gang Podcast features an in-depth look at Midwestern State Women's Soccer with head coach Ryan Spence.



    Midwestern State players and coaches are conducting soccer camps from May 28th-31st. Camps will be held on the football and soccer turf fields at Midwestern State University and also include water activities. Mini Camps are conducted for youngsters five and six-years-old. Half-Day Camps are held for kids from kindergarten to fifth grade. Full-Day Camps are available for older players through eighth grade.

    The season begins for the Mustangs on Sept. 5, and there are some exciting new players that will be part of the Stang Gang this fall.

    Summer Camps get underway June 24 with a Basic Skills Camp (ages 6-11), and a Fundamental Camp (ages 9-14) are being staged through June 27 at D.L. Ligon Coliseum. All campers will get a t-shirt and a camp basketball. The Basic Skill Camp is a half from 8 a.m. until noon, and the Fundamental Camp begins at 8 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. There is also a College ID Camp for high school age girls on June 28 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Registration for Midwestern State Women’s Basketball Camps can be done on-line at www.midwesternstatewbbcamps.com 



    Midwestern State coaches and players run the summer camps. The Mustangs are looking forward to an exciting season, and Jackson discusses a talented group of players that will be donning the Maroon and Gold next season as the Mustangs look to take the program to new heights.

    Midwestern State head men's and women's tennis coach Scott Linn discusses the challenges his teams face week-in and week-out, and the on-court battles throughout the course of the season.



    Midwestern State hosted South Central Regional dual matches at MSU Tennis Center this past week. The men’s team was narrowly defeated by UT Permian Basin, 4-3, but the women’s team advanced to the Round of 16 at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida, with a 4-1 victory over Dallas Baptist. MSU earned straight-set wins in the first four singles' matches and returns to the Round of 16 for the first time since 2019.  Midwestern State will play its dual match on Monday, May 20. The Championship Final is slated for Friday, May 24.

    This week's Stang Gang Podcast features the latest news surrounding Midwestern State Softball with head coach Brittanie Talley. 



    The season comes to a conclusion with a three-game series against Texas A&M International at Mustangs Park on Friday and Saturday. MSU hosts the Dustdevils for a doubleheader that begins at 1 p.m. on Friday, and the finale is scheduled for noon Saturday, which will be Senior Day for the Mustangs. The contributions of six seniors will be recognized: Chloe Bryant, Kennedy Cameron, Kerris Cameron, Brianna Dominguez, Levi Luna and Grace Martinez. MSU has won five of its last six home games and leads the all-time series with the Dustdevils, 11-6.
