O discuție onesta si deschisa cu trei copii pe care ii iubesc cu toată inima, despre ce înseamnă să deții un animal, cum sa îl îngrijim și cum putem sa fim mai buni cu ele în general. Le sunt profund recunoscătoare lui Ana, Mario și Vladi ❣️pentru entuziasmul și candoarea cu care au construit acest episod - concept, întrebări, editare, fiecare element le poarta amprenta. 🤗😘 Acest episod a fost înregistrat aceasta vara, când nici măcar nu îndrăzneam sa visez ca Gutana (Gutti), cățelul menționat în povestea Anei își va găsi vreodată familie. Kiki, prietena lor, salvată de Isabela și îngrijită de noi, a plecat în august acasă. Și totusi, probabil ca publicarea episodului trebuia sa aibă loc atunci când puteam să închidem încă un fir al povestii, pentru ca după 9 ani și jumătate, Gutti și-a găsit o familie fenomenala. ❤️

This episode took an entire summer to edit and put together. It's an episode about genuine love for the animals, sacrifice, competence and resilience with one of the rescuers I profoundly respect and admire in Romania. Lea is a radio personality, a hard-working and passionate rehabilitator of disabled and unwanted animals,  and a long-time friend. I didn't realize at the time of recording just how much this episode meant to me, and how much it touched me. Just as I had found my inner resilience and determination to publish the episode, Lea informed me that Shinny had moved upstairs too, to complete the constellation of extraordinary disabled dogs that have passed through our lives, so this episode is dedicated to Shiny, Mishka, Danni and the many others who have left their pawprints on our hearts. It's a testament to their phenomenal ability to withstand tremendous suffering and find a way to enjoy every single moment to the fullest, as well as to the amazing community of people that help them. I thus kindly invite you to join us for a discussion of what it means to be a rescuer of disabled dogs, what the special needs of special needs dogs are, and what can be done so that fewer animals end up in this situation. It's a discussion that, as usual, takes us back to the paramount importance of educating the community, staying true to our mission, and finding hope in desperate circumstances.

Miracle wholeheartedly earned her Misfit Superhero title by surviving terrible abuse on the streets of Giurgiu. Together with her rescuer and teammate, Magda Radu, she embarked on a journey towards a better life by patiently healing up her scalp until she regained her sight and then her lovely ears. She then went on to have a happy life in Germany with her mom. ❤️ This is a story about resilience, kindness, dedication and sacrifice, as well as an unwavering determination to persevere in a world that can otherwise easily break your resolve. Primul nostru episod în limba română spune povestea lui Codruț, unul dintre primii caini utilitari maidanezi din România. E o discuție onesta, de suflet, despre ce înseamnă să deții și sa educi un câine, o poveste despre încredere și înțelepciune (a câinelui) și despre răbdare și maturizare (a noastră, a omului cu câine).
Desi am intampinat dificultati tehnice datorate perioadei de distantare sociala, pentru noi, inregistrarea acestei povesti a fost o experienta profund personala - am discutat, printre altele, despre ce inseamna sa formezi un caine utilitar, dar si despre ce ne invata ei, cainii, si ce trebuie sa invatam noi, proprietarii, pentru a fi oameni mai buni pentru cainele nostru. Daca v-a placut, ne-am bucura sa auzim gandurile vcastre. Si daca va intrebati cum puteti afla mai multe, va incurajam sa vizitati pagina de Facebook a Clubului Cainilor Utilitari si sa va implicati in proiectele lor, fie ca vorbim despre Scoala lui Codrut, de echipa de cautare si salvare sau cea de agility, de echipele de interactiuni asistate de animale sau despre cea mai recenta initiativa a lor - PetTalks.

Va multumim si va asteptam cu drag la urmatorul episod! :)

Codrut started his life as a stray dog on the streets of Craiova but became one of the first accredited search and rescue dogs, an accomplished AAI dog, and a media darling during a difficult period in animal protection in Romania. One of the original Misfit Superheroes, Codrut taught us a lot about trust, resilience, and dogged stubbornness.
