After the Colombian drug bust in Sylmar, CA in 1989, Felix seems to be climbing to the top. He's made all the other leaders of the plazas his partners. However, this is the beginning of his end. Maria kicks Felix out for good after she discovers he had Palma's wife and kids killed.

The plazas oust Felix from the game, and he's arrested shortly after.

Breslin, on the other hand, is stuck in Sacramento handling paperwork. We get a very tense moment between Breslin and Felix where they end up talking. All Felix hints about is the Sinaloans and Felix family fighting. Felix is the one to end the conversation, but is this only the beginning for Breslin's visits to talk to Felix?

However Felix’s associates from Sinaloa escalate the tension with his partners in Tijuana. Also in Tijuana, Benjamin ventures into a new drug business with Americans. Breslin spares Verdin’s life after getting a new name out of him, but this could come back to haunt him.
