I think we’ve all purchased something that we had to assemble. Now if we are wise we use the instructions given us by the creator of the product. But I’m sure some of you are like me and have thought, “who needs instructions, I can do this.” Only to end up with extra parts and some frustration. My point is, wisdom says, that I heed the instructions of the maker. So too with family. To operate correctly we heed the instructions of the maker/God. So, during this message in our family series we will do just that, heed the instructions of the Maker/God.

As we continue in our family series we must delve into proper parenting. I think we all desire to raise healthy mature grownups who contribute to the good of society. Now, a main ingredient in growing grownups is…us. Us grownups, us parents.  We produce what we are and in this message we jump into the love chapter of I Corinthians 13 that teaches us what a loving grownup looks and acts like. And this is important because, we produce what we are.

One of the great Sundays of the year is Mother’s day for obvious reasons. This year is no different. I wear glasses. I need them to read words on a page, but I also need them to read the signs on a Freeway. Without them I might end up in Corona Del Mar instead of good old Corona.  My point is, the proper lenses get me to where I need to go. Hear me, when life throws us a curve the difference between peace and anxiety is “what I believe.” What I believe from God’s word is the proper lens to view through when worry encroaches upon my life. Friends when it comes to stress, what I believe matters. During this message, in our “Got stress” series, I will teach on this very truth. We're excited for you to hear this.
