The Last Waltz (w/ Stephanie Allynne)
Turn up the volume, because it’s time for what's hailed as "one of the greatest documentary concert films ever made": Scorsese’s The Last Waltz! While The Band was joined by folks such as Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond and Neil Young, Lauren and Nicole are so excited to round out this episode's band with very special guest Stephanie Allynne (Tig Notaro: Hello Again, One Mississippi, The L Word: Generation Q)! Taxi Driver (w/ Action Boyz)
Lauren and Nicole are back with season seven of Newcomers! This time, they're getting into the filmography of legendary director Martin Scorsese, beginning with Taxi Driver (1976). Lauren and Nicole are joined by none other than the Action Boyz (Jon Gabrus, Ben Rodgers, and Ryan Stanger) to contextualize Robert De Niro’s portrayal of Travis Bickle, get into the nitty gritty of that mohawk, and pass explicit judgment on Travis’ taste in movies.

Fun, fun, fun!
It’s a lot, yes that’s right… fun!!! to listen to Lauren and Nicole discovering, falling in love with and sometimes hating well known movies. The guests on the podcast always contribute with more fun! If you like nerdy movies and comedy, this is a podcast for you.
So funny I nearly died
I was powerlifting while listening to Newcomers and the Oval episode got insanely funny while I was at the bottom of a 400 lb squat, I fully lost torso pressure because I started laughing, couldn’t get up and had to quickly dump the weight to not snap my spine. This podcast is too funny and is going to force me to buy a full power rack for my own safety so I can keep listening while lifting in my garage. /Johan
Nicole only you and one other person is deserving of young Madea!
I've loved this podcast since the 2 minutes and 49 seconds into the first episode! I listen to this podcast at work... during the nightshift, alone at a psychward. and the only thing you can hear is my laugh down a hallway. While listening to the last episode you were talking about how maybe a man should be playing young Madea and that was the only time I had any doubt that Nicole should get that part uncontested. There is only one alternative for the part, our ruling queen Symone! I love you both and I'm looking forward to more manic laughing ay work!
