The Old Testament Book of Psalms is a collection of 150 Hebrew poems, songs, and prayers that come from all different periods of Israel’s history, and it holds a tension between lament of the tragic state of the world and the hope of the Messianic Kingdom to come. The New Testament writers understood the Psalms as pointing to Jesus and Jesus agreed as He pointed to the Psalms more than 50 times. Joseph was an amazing servant leader. He seemed to constantly get thrown under the bus, but despite his trials, he responded by continuing to work with integrity for those around him. And despite being a man who consistently honored God throughout his life, Joseph spent 16 years as a slave and then as a prisoner in Egypt. Joseph trusted God through all the trials, temptations, and triumphs of his life. In this series we will learn to lead people and lean on God like Joseph. We are so glad you are here today!
