Anything Goes: A Journey Home | S4E8 | That's Too Far
Going too far isn’t inherently evil. In fact some might say we don’t go far enough to end poverty. But by the same stretch we don’t go far enough to spread the gospel. Live like the apostles and die for the sake of Christ. Especially those of us in Christian friendly countries.
I have found in my life though that as a man, father, husband. I can go to far and dramatically impact my family both positively and negatively.
Which is why I feel like we should take ownership of the words That’s too far and make them a mantra for heightened state of awareness in our relationships.

Have you ever been picked first for something? Did you have horror stories of being picked last? Are you feeling stressed out by this very concept. Don’t worry we won’t be talking about it very long on this journey.
Being picked first or last is just a rite of passage for those of us who are athletic and those who aren’t. The reality, is we don’t actually realize until much later that because we were chosen doesn’t mean we actually have to agree.

Dear Dad,
I am proud of you. You may not know it but I am very grateful for you. I love you for all the things you got wrong and all the things you got right. I love you for all that you taught me and all that you didn’t. I know you failed incredibly and probably succeeded incredibly.
But, perhaps not in equal amounts as you would have like.
You weren’t perfect. I hope you know that I didn’t expect you to be. I hope you know that I wasn’t completely wrecked when I found out you weren’t.
More than anything Dad, I am grateful that you kept me as close to God as you were able.
