OPEN UP EXTRA: Gemma, Dandelion & Songhoy Blues

Ahead of news that Dandelion, the bus will be returning to Glastonbury, we’re dropping a couple of ‘extra’s’ as part of our OPEN UP series (recorded and never released before now) at Glasto ’17. This is an inspiring discussion with ground breaking and fantastic musicians - Songhoy Blues, who met Gemma in Mali, West Africa a few years ago after they’d fled their hometown of Timbuktu due to an enforced music ban, making it unsafe for them to play music any longer. They have had a whirlwind journey ever since.. Touring the world and releasing records. Here they are reconnecting with Gemma and hanging out on her bus.. in the fields of the one of the world’s most magical music festivals..

Ahead of news that Dandelion, the bus will be returning to Glastonbury, we’re dropping a couple of ‘extra’s’ as part of our OPEN UP series, recorded (and never released before now), at Glasto ‘17. This one features an ‘in conversation with..’ esteemed beauty writer Sali Hughes and her best friend author Caitlin Moran (who turned up for the fun of it) on the theme of image, beauty and the future. All recorded in front of a small crew, who turned up having seen the Q&A advertised on a chalk board outside the bus.
