Life in Paradise on a Shoestring Dawn Fleming

At age 60, Tom got a job at a shipyard in Panama City, Florida after completing a 5000 mile sailing journey that started in California. He quickly acclimated to the business and got promoted.  The company culture was not team based, it was as if the different departments were competing with each other and didn't know they all had the same goal.  Using his recently acquired personal development skills he was able to get the teams to work together and build a culture of cooperation in the company.  Listen and learn how he was able to accomplish it.

In this episode Dawn dives into how our relationships with ourself and others develops. In the home environment for sure, but also when we enter and go through the educational system.  In Claim Your Dream Life,  Dawn explains how we have BIG DREAMS when we are children, believing we can be and do anything we want.  Then we become conditioned over time to temper our dreams and be "realistic".  By they time we reach adulthood, sadly just earning a steady paycheck is often our new “Dream”. 

What can we do?  Dawn believes the answer lies in revamping the current system as our Industrial Era educational system’s one-size-fits-all approach often leaves students disconnected with each other, bored and disinterested in learning. There is good news.

A non-profit called Transcend is partnering with communities to LISTEN to young people and learn how we can reinvent learning and the educational system.

Although reluctant  to go to Las Vegas with her friend for a network marketing convention, Dawn got out of her comfort zone and went anyway.  Apparently, it was her date with destiny as the keynote speaker was Robert Kiyosaki.  Dawn had heard about his books, but never read any of them.
The information she heard was truly life changing. In fact, Rich Dad Poor Dad is The #1 Best-Selling Personal Finance Book - Ever.  The Cash Flow Quadrant, is actually Kiyosaki’s second book.  It goes further in depth about the framework he introduces in the first book. They both books are both worth a read, in Dawn's opinion.  How much did you learn about money, finances and how to build wealth at home, or in school? These books really shaped Dawn's financial literacy and empowered her to live the life of her dreams instead of dying at her desk as a lawyer!  Listen and learn:

When she was in her mid-fifties, Diana Devi started feeling like she was fading, almost like she was becoming invisible. She wasn’t sleeping well, didn’t have any energy,  was gaining weight and didn’t have the spring in her step OR a desire to do much of anything!  She felt she looked older than she should and was worried that the rest of her life was going to be like that. Old, fat and wrinkled, no longer valued at work and stuck with unsatisfying personal relationships.

She went to her doctor, thinking there had to be something physically wrong with her. After a thorough exam she was told there was nothing wrong with her, she was just getting older!  Shortly after, she encountered  an 80 year old woman celebrating her birthday at a local restaurant.  She was vibrant - laughing and having fun with her group  so engaged and fully enjoying herself.  Diana wanted to be that woman.

Diana wanted to live her own story on her own terms. She admired Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren, women who've aged in their industry – one that relies on looks and they have kept working on their terms … They have aged beautifully and not gotten old.

So with her 30+ years of medical experience as a pharmacist she read up on all the new  and exciting innovations in the medical field. She studied holistic methods and believes in treating the body as naturally as possible . She applied what she learned and Got Her Sexy BACK. So many people noticed the changes they started asking her for help.

So she launched An Ageless Life to share her lessons and knowledge with women like her who  are feeling old, have  lost confidence and/or feel invisible.  So they can get their Sexy Back!
