Out of a desperate need for change I have begun to reveal to the world the writing that I used to keep to myself. These are my readings of my journal entries, made easier for every curious character who decides to have a peek into what used to be private. The contents therein you will find the spark of an idiot that can't stand the fight for self-preservation anymore, and is willing to have all of her opinions challenged simply for a chance to know something different.

Reading - Iroquoia: The Development of a Native World by William Engelbrecht
Where to start? How about with the Haudenosaunee.
Without much direction as to where I can find a clear historical path, I take from my library Iroquoia: The Development of a Native World by William Engelbrecht (an archaeology and anthropology book). From here, I get the basics of the past down in order to understand the present nations that fall under the haudenosaunee umbrella; some of which are amazing things, good and bad.

Having grown up in a racist town where I was left in the dark over the history of indigenous people, I relied on the clues people gave me to guide my way out of the hatred; however, I am not out of the woods when it comes to fully understanding a perspective that I've been purposely kept in the dark about.
