Funmi Obembe, the guest on the show today, is a Senior Lecturer in Information Systems in the De Montfort University School of Computer Science and Informatics. She has over 18 years' experience working in the industry. She loves God and is a passionate teacher who discovered her gifts while growing up in the Sunday's School. She is married with two kids.
She shared her journey to discovering her gifts, explaining the link between passion and gifting. Her love for God and wanting to be everything God wants her to be keeps her going. 
Using her life as an example, Funmi and I talk about the role 'people around you' play in discovering your gifts. She talks about how she knows that it is all about God and deploying your gift may not be comfortable but its all about God and not you.

This journey of life is full of adventure; bad times and good times. How do we manage the difficult life situations? Even when life doesn't make sense, or become really upsetting and we try to make sense out of it.

In today's episode I share briefly my personal story of how I became an orphan, losing my mum when I was 10 years old and my dad at age 19. I hope to share what helped me in those challenging times and hope we can learn something that will help us live life more intentionally. I hope you can learn something when you go through challenging experience or when you hear of someone story. Be encouraged in the bad times that God loves and cares about you.
