Sometimes we just need to own up to our problems… we are all bullies and need to show compassion more often.   Adult bullying is a growing trend especially if you work in the online space or are on social media at all.   People take offense to EvErYtHiNg… your hair, your teeth, how you talk, your history, your political views, your parents, your camera’s background, that you recorded in landscape mode instead of portrait mode, that the sun was on the wrong side of you… EVERYTHING!  But are we doing our part to stop this crappy growing trend? Are we curbing our tongue on things that aren’t our business and aren’t pertinent to our business… things that have no impact on our life? Such as whether someone is recording in landscape mode instead of portrait mode? That won’t impact our life one iota… but still people fire up their keyboards to “let them know” their opinion.   It shuts down sooooo many amazing people out there who may have a message that helps someone somewhere. What we’re really talking about is imposter syndrome. That nagging feeling that we’re not good enough. Or someone will call us out as a fake. Making us feel even smaller and more insignificant.

Some will say it’s our negative emotions such as the analogy of “glass half full” kind of thing but it really goes more in-depth than that.

When Religiosity is Toxic.

Toxic religion is often a tough topic, can be misunderstood and harshly judged. Cults are just one form of when religion can be used to create toxic connections with their followers. When we think of religion vs spirituality some confusion may arise but there is most certainly a difference. Religion alone is not a problem but when it is used to control or persuade one to conform for the sake of their own needs there may be some issues to arise.
