God reveals in Genesis 1-2 that true unity exists through harmonizing differentiation; light and dark, day and night, land and sea, man and woman. The differentiation of man into male and female is the only way to image God and fulfill His purpose for man; dominion and fruitfulness.

Synopsis: The Gospel is of first importance. It is what is given to us that we pass on; Christ died for us, was buried, and rose from the grave. This humiliation and exaltation of Jesus is the foundation of our faith. If we get this wrong, it doesn’t matter what we get right. If we don’t have this, it doesn’t matter what else we have. If we don’t know this, it doesn’t matter what else we know. If we don’t proclaim this, it doesn’t matter what else we have to say.


Sermon Text: 1 Corinthians 15:1-7

Synopsis: The Passion of the Christ supersedes the Passover as the greatest deliverance in redemptive history. The first-born Son of God, the Father, was offered up as the once for all sacrifice for our sins. Holy week is full of daily observances of Jesus’ humility and suffering for sinners. That suffering is his passion. In his suffering and death, he put death to death, defeating Satan and redeeming us from all unrighteousness and sorrow.
