Work and life will surely be taking on a new form but the most important part of all is "us". What does it mean for America now that we are not planning and gearing up for (insert anything) No Quarterly Profits. No what have you done for me lately. It's what can we do now that its happening and there's no rush delivery or convenience fee. No $ will allow you to make it go away. No fast forward. Just you and me and this thing. Invisible. Odorless. And all we know is we don't know anything. But we will learn. In real time. @ Reidsreels. Settle in. Listen up. And call and tell us about whatever you are feeling and thinking. Peace and Glove (Raw Audio. Worth the engine noise)
Imagine an asteroid that has broken up into pieces and is heading for earth. We don't know where it will hit but it has a name. K-RONA. We know it will hurt millions. We know depression is likely. Forget this quarter's profits. Forget the semester. You may need to shelter in place. For how long? We don't know. Now what? Well, guys and gals it's happening. In real-time and in slow motion. We have a pandemic and all the instant noodles and Amazon 2 day deliveries can't make it better. Time has a new meaning. Space has a new depth.
Catastrophism. What is it? I'll tell you. Gradualism? I'll explain. Love? Sure. Laughter? Definitely. This podcast is about the US in USA. It's about what will happen to America when the fast-food gives way to a harvest moon. In other words. We have to wait. And no one can change the f#$ing channel or pay for overnight delivery. The truth is so hard to take we must watch it in slow motion. That's what we are doing. So I'm your host. Settle in.
