Daniel 6 is one of the best-known chapters in the Bible.

 We have heard it in Sunday school, at Vacation Bible School, in sermons, and there is even a Veggie Tales episode.

 It provokes our imagination.

 Join us as Dr. Chuck Jonas shows how God glorify himself among the nations by rescuing one of his children who trusted him no matter what.

We have to remember that Daniel was not written to give us a history lesson about Babylonians, Medes, and Persians.

 It was written to encourage the Hebrew people, God’s people, that though they had been defeated and exiled, God was sovereignly in control, and they should trust him even when they could not trace his hand.

He is working out his plans and accomplishing his purposes, and every now then he lets us in on what he is doing.

Most of us have never heard of her.

We know of Mary, Elizabeth, Rachel, Rebekah, Hannah, Ruth, and Naomi; however, our text gives us another mother worthy of our examination.

Her name is Rizpah.

 We know these men, taken captive to Babylon in 605 BC by their popular names: Shadrach, Meshach,
and Abednego.

 We will see men of courage, conviction, and commitment.
