Dr. Weaver became Board Certified in Family Medicine after training at UCSF's program at Natividad Medical Center. She was a founding member of the Global Physicians Corps, a nonprofit organization that sends physicians on medical missions to Africa. She has worked with GPS to help deliver babies and conduct research on maternal mortality rates in rural Tanzania. ⁣ ⁣ Dr. Weaver was selected as a National Health Service Corps Scholar and worked in East Palo Alto providing full-scope medical care to the underserved, before accepting a position at Kaiser Permanente, where she currently practices. ⁣ ⁣ She is the author of Nia's Puzzle, a children's book about resilience and the "big picture" perspective.
