I spoke to my friend and economist Jose Alvarez about the current situation in his home country. We spoke about the importance of institutions, the economics of his country and whether or not there is a way out. We also spoke about the parallels between the issues suffered by Venezuela and those of other developing nations.

I chatted with Sandon Mims who works with refugees everyday in Jacksonville Fl, about US refugee policy and his experiences with refugees in light of the Trump Administrations decision to drop the refugee cap to 45,000, the lowest in years.

I spoke with Oriol robrt, a Catalan classmate of mine who experienced the Catalan referendum and has a few things to say on the matter. We discussed the political, social and economic reasons why Spain has reached this point today.

In this first episode, I chat with Professor Diego Valderrama Rojas of the Universidad de los Andes about World Bank Group policies on water privatization. We discuss the ways in which these policies may be detrimental to the development efforts of a third world country. We also chatted about Aquaculture as an employable alternative and how it solves the problem of overfishing.
