Alkaid is a photographer who specializes in documentary photography. He focuses on social inequality and inequity, and highlights working class immigrants and marginalized communities. 

We talk about his upbringing in Anaheim (3:39), how he got into photography (9:45), how he developed his values and principles during his younger years as a kid (14:57), his “El Jale” exhibit/project in which he took photographs of the vendors at the Cypress swap-meet during the beginning of the pandemic (18:33), and how to help out our communities around us (26:50).
