Hi all - welcome to Queer Reflections - the podcast where we discuss queer representation in our visual media - past, present and future. Today on the fourth episode of Season Two, I am joined by Daniel Schmidt (he/she/they) who is from Berlin, Germany. We get to explore Daniel's relationship with queer media, talk about their upbringing, education and more. We explore Will & Grace, Queer as Folk, Drag Race, German Literature and beyond! "My name is Daniel, I identify as non-binary queer and I respond to all/any pronouns. My hometown is Hannover in Germany and I have been living in Berlin for about 12 years. My professional background is on journalism/media but I went over to the corporate site where I am a case worker in stock media licensing.

Queer culture, fashion and art are my personal passions and I have been modelling for art and photography for about 5 years now which allowed me to explore my identity. In the queer art space on Instagram, I am proud to represent non binary aesthetics. Outside of the queer space, I am quite invested in current affairs and I love to travel - which sadly hasn’t happened since the start or the pandemic."
