Seeing the ISS translunar:

    • Astronomi

Satellites grace the evening sky and make the transition from twilight to darkness more interesting. Of the thousands of satellites orbiting the earth, the biggest one by far is the International Space Station, or ISS. The ISS is so large that when it flies over any given spot on earth, it is quite visible and can shine brighter than Venus as it travels from horizon to horizon. In this podcast, we will learn about satellites and the ISS and what it looks like as it travels across the night sky. We will also learn how to find the ISS and other satellites, in particular to know the best days and times to see them.
