Seeking Zion Allison Sorensen

Today I discuss the importance of finding your part in the building Zion. We each have a part to play and each is early important. Have you ever put together a puzzle and there is a missing piece! There is nothing worse. Even piece mattress. Each of us need to figure out our piece in the beautiful puzzle of Zion.

I consider myself to be pretty independent. I can figure it out and do it myself 99% of the time. But in a Zion like place does that really serve me? On this episode we talk about the false beliefs that we carry about accepting and receiving help. If we are to become a Zion people we’re going to need to learn to ask and receive help from others.

Yesterday I broke down and cried while I was scrolling social media. It just hit me like a ton of bricks. It wasn’t for any particular reason that I could tell, it just was. Do you let yourself feel sad? Or do you cover it up with secondary emotions of anger and irritation? During this episode I discuss why feeling sad is so vitally important to our wellbeing and some tools of how we can do it more often.

Have you ever desired something so much that it makes you cry? Well, that is where we are headed in this episode. Zion is my total and complete obsession. It is what gets me up in the morning and moving forward everyday.  In this episode I share my personal experiences with how I came to desire Zion about anything else.  My hope is that by sharing my own experiences, you will find greater hope and faith as we hold on until the day Christ returns and heals us all.

It’s all hand off here friends. I say it exactly how I see it. Agency was the battle before this life and continues to be the battle today. We will stand to defend our freedoms and the freedoms of those around us or succumb to the control Satan has always desired.

Do you allow yourself to really feel your emotions? Too often we ignore, push of and pretend we’re happy instead of really feeling. In fact we just numb out. But if we want to experience the real joy that God offers we need to learn to feel.
