In today's episode we are talking about a very controversial subject, leaving the church and organized religion.  After attending the same church for nearly 40 years, I left church and organized religion without losing my faith, Christianity or belief in Jesus.  For years many churches and organized religions have taught that you have to attend church to be a proper Christian because the bible says so.  That's just simply not true!  There is no verse in the bible that says this!  You don't have to go to church to worship or serve the Lord or be a Christian.  The hands and feet of Jesus serve him outside the walls of the church.

In today's episode we are continuing our topic of forgiveness. Being deeply hurt by someone you love or by someone who is supposed to love and care about you can be devastating. Often times leading to deeply rooted pain and resentment and bitterness in your heart. But the only one that is hurting is you. Today I talk about a very difficult and painful situation in my life that I had every right to carry bitterness in my heart from and how I was able to let go of that pain and bitterness and because forgiveness wasn't for them, it was for me.

On February 5, 2022 my father passed away after a 7 month battle with pancreatic cancer.  In today's episode I talk about my relationship with my dad and how God helped me forgive him after years of hurt and resentment towards him and how we were able to finally have the relationship that I wanted with him my whole life.  I was able to be with him in peace and give him the love and comfort he needed as he when he left this life and went to be with Jesus.  It was the hardest goodbye I have ever said in my life.  Fly high daddy!  I'll see you again someday!
