For the last episode of what I am considering the first season of this show I had the pleasure of interviewing Nadège Heyligar & Sharif Jacobino from Krea2069. Krea2069 is a multidisciplinary collective of young engineers from Curaçao sharing a common passion for creating our built environment. They are thinking about and creating awareness for what the future of our islands can be. How we can design and work towards a more livable, sustainable and enjoyable society. I first heard about the collective a little more than a year ago and immediately it got me excited and I'm so happy that they are working on this.  

This has been a very awesome year for me. Even though the Covid situation brought extra challenges, I am still incredibly grateful for the year I had.   Season 2 coming soon.  Thank you to everyone for watching, listening and supporting.

Here's a special Christas episode! Chris, Graham and I reminisce about the holidays, how we celebrated Christmas back on the islands and how we are doing it now. I would like to wish all of you a very wonderful and peaceful holiday season. This year has been exceptionally tough for a lot of us, but that doesnt mean we can't enjoy the holidays and look forward to a better new year.

For this episode I had the pleasure of interviewing Luuk Weber. Luuk is an incredibly sharp and intelligent young man with a very ambitious vision of the future of our islands. Well versed in all things tech, he sees the potential for a mindset shift on our islands that can be spearheaded by utilizing technology and digital services. From cultural frameworks to cryptocurrencies, Luuk is working to raise our islands to the next level. His voice definitely needs to be hear and his message shared!

I had A LOT of fun during this episode. Not only did I get to reconnect with an amazing person and great friend, but I also got to talk about a subject I definitely need to learn more about, inclusivity. I had the pleasure of having Nicole on the show and she shared her journey from the islands to The Netherlands, her personal struggle with her studies and career, the huge life shift she made and now her adventure as a self employed person. She now works as a writer and public speaker while focusing on her passion for equality and inclusivity. Two things that I think the communicaties on the islands can still learn a lot about. I really appreciate her insight and the efforts she is making for not only herself but for what will eventually be he end-user.

For this episode I had the absolute pleasure of interviewing a great friend, a lovely soul and the person who saved my eye-ball (seriously), Dr. Nailah Sint Jago. Nailah is also a client of mine who I coach and she is definitely someone who embodies the warm, friendly Antillean spirit. Not only is she my first female guest but also my first Aruban guest! So I had to ask her for her top recommendations on the island for those who want to visit! It's an incredibly beautiful island with a lot of soul and character. Definitely worth the visit!

I'm back! Unfortunately I haven't been able to upload episodes in the past week due to all the corona craziness. Not only did I have to take time to focus on my business but with the ongoing situation and measures it's hard to invite people over for a one to one interview. And trying to keep that up every week appears to be a bigger puzzle at the moment. So I am going to try to stick to a bi-weekly schedule! Every other week I will try to upload an episode! For this weeks episode I asked Chris & Graham to come over for a fun word association episode. I had a long list of 'Antiano related words' and we talked about what comes to mind when we think about these specific antiano things. Definitely a fun episode for me! Hope you all enjoy!
