Healing from Alcoholism | National Recovery Month

Healing from Alcoholism | National Recovery Month

In this solo episode, I share my experience with alcohol abuse and how my addiction to alcohol nearly killed me.

    September is National Recovery Month

If you are struggling with substance abuse or addiction, you are not alone.  I have learned that some people are good at hiding their habits and addictions from friends and family. This pattern of living is dangerous and unsafe for individuals who do not have a support group or access to community resources.

Let this episode serve as a reminder that it's okay to ask for help. When you are ready to get help, you will. Don't wait until sh*t hits the fan and it's too late. Get the help you need today!

Follow the Thread with Sandra Raffaelli | Talks of Life Episode #25

In this interview with Sandra Raffaelli, founder of aZul, she shares her story of discovering her path of purpose and how she overcame challenges, connected with her community, and followed her heart by entrusting in divine guidance and timing.

aZul is a non-profit that teaches adults with disabilities, independent living skills through the use of fashion, art, and design. This organization is dedicated to empowering adults with disabilities to use fashion & industrial design to achieve artistic recognition, dignity, and financial independence.

Before interviewing for this podcast, I found that studies of adult autism are very limited and that most studies are focused on child autism. No different from other humans, these adults need friendship, support, and opportunities to work and play in accepted social settings.

Ripples to Waves: Creating Systemic Change with Michael Plischke | Talks of Life Episode #24

Technology can be used as a tool for creation or destruction. This is a strong statement, but I believe it to be true.

We have been blessed with technology during our lifetime, allowing humanity to become connected globally. Synchronistically, it has disconnected us in many ways and it’s time we gathered as a community to create a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world.

In this episode with the creator and founder of Communiivate, Michael Plischke shares his vision for creating systemic change with communication and innovation. He designed Communiivate as a platform for change-makers to connect, collaborate, and take collective action to solve system issues within their community.
