Sociologist Sandy To talks about how the women in China found a way to find a partner when the Asian men did not want to partner up with them, because they were too successful and educated.

Sandy is an advocate for women making better choices, including partner choices. Her book, China’s Leftover Women: Late Marriage Among Professional Women and Its Consequences (Routledge) and new books are informed by her PhD from Cambridge University, and her research has been featured in places such as TIME, CNN, BBC, Financial Times, etc.



"Leftover women" is a term used by the Chinese Ministry for women who are 26 and above who have high educational and professional qualifications but aren't yet married.
