In the last one week, I have had several episodes of highs and lows; ups and downs. I was swimming in emotions - pleasant and unpleasant ones. When I looked back, I realise that it was such a bad week after all. There was still so much to be grateful for and so much to look forward to. Self-compassion: Honouring Your Body
Last week, I had a physical breakdown. I woke up on Thursday morning with so much pains. My body hurt badly. I knew what that meant. I had been up and about working and hustling in the past weeks to the point that I haven't had a weekend of rest. So, when my body said: you are going nowhere today Coach Bashy, I honoured it. I took two days off and got medical attention plus the much need rest. Isn't this how we all operate? We wait until we breakdown to pay attention to our body. But, we don't have to wait until our bodies can't move, we can learn self-compassion by honouring our bodies. Today, I share ways by which we can start to practice self-compassion paying attention to the little most overlooked things. I hope that you find it beneficial.
