Claire Hutton interview - One Shots
The Kansas City Current are on top of the table and are undefeated halfway through the season. There are many reasons the Current made a big turnaround from last season. A new coach, new players, and a new stadium are all reasons but one of the key reasons is Claire Hutton. She is an eighteen-year-old rookie who started the first twelve games for Kansas City and is near the top of the stats for tackles and other categories while adjusting to being a pro and seeking balance in her life.
Thad Bell from the KC Soccer Journal sat down for a short chat with the remarkable young star to discuss books, food, and more.

This Team is a Mess - Shades of Blue
Another ugly loss for Sporting KC vs the LA Galaxy, but the Summer of Soccer is here! Even Thad gets excited!!!
We discuss the good, the bad, and the thighs for Sporting KC at the moment. Robert is as down on the team as he's ever been.
The pressure has shifted to the ownership. They've backed Vermes. They have failed to find a Technical Director. They need to spend the money to rebuild the team over the next three transfer windows.
Should we be excited about the rumors of a Socceroo coming to KC?
We also dive into Copa America and expectations for the USMNT and, specifically, Gregg Berhalter.

Mr. Brightside - Shades of Blue
Vermes said "Other than the three goals, there was a lot of good stuff."
We say challenge accepted!
We try our best to find the positives from Sporting KC's 3-1 loss to Minnesota United. Alenis Vargas may have earned himself more minutes.
But we dive into the issues with the roster, with strikers Alan Pulido and Willy Agada, and continue the discussion about Peter Vermes' future with the club.
