Founder of her eponymous boutique public relations agency Céline Kaplan PR, Céline’s client list (and closet) is enough to make other fashion PR doyennes green with envy. A consummate traveler (she most recently invaded the island of Culebra), she is always looking for the next diamond in the rough. “I know a good thing when I see it, and I’m not afraid to go after what I want,” she explains. Kahlana Barfield Brown has carved a niche for herself in the hyper-competitive world of fashion and beauty publishing. She began her career as an intern at InStyle before eventually being hired full time. Throughout her career at the magazine, she took on several key positions, including Beauty Director, and fulfilled duties that ranged from writing in-depth features to reporting live from the red carpet. She's now a leading fashion and beauty expert who inspires a new generation of women to embrace beauty from within. She regularly appears on national television shows such as Today, Good Morning America, The View, Extra, Entertainment Tonight and The Drew Barrymore Show. D'Arcy Jensen - Founder & Creative Director at Guilded Goods
D'Arcy Jensen is a creative executive with expertise leading brand strategy & aesthetic, experiential & social media marketing, strategic collaboration partnerships, and product design & development within the fashion, beauty, and retail spaces. D'Arcy found herself amidst the pandemic reclaiming a 950 sq. foot community garden in Hudson Valley, NY. Combining her professional skills, personal passions with resources from the garden, she created Guilded Goods. Now a brand, marketplace and community Guilded Goods is a reflection of D’Arcy’s colorful style and entrepreneurial spirit. Sara Sakanaka - Founder and Creative Director of Considered Objects
Sara Sakanaka is a multidisciplinary creative, focusing on design, fashion, and consultancy projects for domestic and international clients. She holds a broad understanding of apparel design, product development, brand strategy, domestic and international markets, and is experienced in successfully launching new fashion and lifestyle brands including ready-to-wear, bridal, couture, and outerwear.
Born to Japanese immigrants, Sara grew up in Los Angeles and now resides in NYC. A graduate of FIT, Sara has held many impressive design roles, including several years as a designer in Japan and China. Last year she started Considered Objects LLC, a concept studio that creates one-of-a-kind and limited edition objects through an artistic and sentimental vision.
Saúl López - Art Director, UPRISERS & Social Media Content Creator
Saúl started creating content in the fashion industry shooting fashion weeks in New York, Milan & Paris. His film projects have included collaborating with various companies and organizations across the world including Apple Music, Spotify, Jordan Brand, ESPN, Netflix, Under Armour, Nordstrom, Moncler, Louis Vuitton, The Getty Museum and more.
Saúl also won a 2020 MTV VMA & EMA in the "Video For Good" category as a drone cinematographer on H.E.R.'s music video, "I Can't Breathe.”
Michelle K. Hanabusa - Founder & Creative Director, UPRISERS
"What you wear is what you represent." UPRISERS was founded by Creative Director Michelle K. Hanabusa, a fourth-generation Japanese American. Michelle amassed an impressive resume in the fashion + design industry prior to UPRISERS. While working in corporate, she noticed a disconnect between the consumer and the company. Inspired by the origins of streetwear culture and its ability to connect people through creative mediums, she made her own. Always the trailblazer, Michelle is celebrated for her charismatic approach in leading collaborative projects with diverse, like-minded folks– ultimately inspiring valuable and intentional conversations.
