Richard Crowes gör ett underbart jobb med sin teatraliska röst, det passar perfekt för en författare som Benson. Jag önskar att det fanns liknande poddar för alla klassiska spökhistorier.
EF Benson är en av de mest berömda edvardiansk författare av spökhistorier. Han skrev inte enbart om gengångare utan en del om det övernaturliga som var så poppis på den tiden. Många ämnen i hans noveller är lite bortglömda, som pics folket, såna knäppa grejer som folk på hans tid älskade att höra. Hans prosa känns mer modern och elegant i jämförelse med många av hans kolleger, främst för att han inte följde den gotiska skräck traditionen, i mitt tycke. Jag tror att det har bidragit till att hålla Bensons verk vid liv ända till vår tid.
