Although we've reviewed several movie adaptations of comics in previous episodes (SWAMP THING, BLADE, CONSTANTINE, etc), we're delighted to review our first comic miniseries on the podcast: NIGHT OF THE GHOUL from writer Scott Snyder and artist Francesco Francavilla. We get into what prompted our first comic review during the review, but this was a delight to record and we're so excited to welcome a special guest back to our pod: Jeremiah Jones-Goldstein!

Please join us in wishing a happy house-warming to our host Nick Leamy! Nick detailed some of the home-buying headaches he and his family were dealing with back in our SPOOKIES episode, but that's all been settled and everyone's settling into a lovely new home.

To celebrate this, we asked Nick to pick a movie to celebrate and he chose the original THE AMITYVILLE HORROR (1979), from director Stuart Rosenberg and starring Margot Kidder, James Brolin and Rod Steiger. Our opinions run a pretty wide spectrum on this one, which made for a fun discussion and we really hope everyone enjoys listening!

Happy Doug Jones Day everybody! It's our fourth year in a row celebrating our favorite horror holiday: the anniversary of the day Doug Jones worked on the set of Mike Flanagan's movie ABSENTIA.

This year we're celebrating by watching THE DARKLING (2000), a USA original tv movie starring F Murray Abraham and Aidan Gillen (and of course Doug Jones, in the role of "Shadow Master"). As of this release the movie is a little difficult to track, but don't worry if you haven't seen it: we walk through the movie's plot as part of the discussion. This was a real blast to record, but we're always delighted to celebrate Doug Jones Day each year. We hope you enjoy the episode, and thanks so much for listening!!

Our not-quite-lost-but-certainly-long-delayed review of BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON (2006) is here! Apologies for the unplanned hiatus, but we give an update on where we've been at the start of this return episode. We haven't forgotten about our previously announced episode for BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON.
