The Three Buckets of Emotional Management Part 2: Different Communication The 5-Minute Shift For Moms

    • Föräldraskap

Today, we're diving into part two of our three-part series on emotional management. As we mentioned before, emotional management is all about gaining control over how we respond in tricky situations, not just remaining calm.

In the previous episode, we explored the first leg of the emotional management table - Emotional Diffusion. Once we have control over our emotions, the next step is to learn how to communicate effectively with others.

Surprisingly, many of us have never been specifically taught how to do this, and we often find ourselves either repeating what we've seen modeled for us or simply reacting based on our feelings. The framework of Different Communication can help you find more effective approaches than the ones you might have learned, and in this episode I share powerful stories from my work with clients.

You can apply these insights in various scenarios, like hectic mornings when you're rushing everyone out the door. Reflect on how you'd want to be communicated with, and then try using those same approaches with your loved ones.

Remember, emotional management is like building a sturdy table with three legs - Emotional Diffusion, Different Communication, and the final one we'll explore in the next episode, Self-Confidence. Until then, keep practicing emotional management and experiencing the positive shifts it brings to your life. Thanks for tuning in!

You know that something needs to change - you're feeling burnt out, overwhelmed, and annoyed, moving further away from that lighter, goofier, fun mom you wanna be.

Each of these short, 5-minute podcast episodes gives you a strategy to use immediately and shift towards the confident mom who feels proud of herself and RELIEVED that you are finally figuring this out.
