For horror fans and aspiring authors
Fantastic podcast with deep and long author interviews and many tips for aspiring writers.
This is horror, no this is great!
The podcast ‘This is horror’ isn’t just a podcast for fans of the genre, but so much more.
Every guest shares their own story on how they came in contact of the genre, their story (and sometimes their struggle) on how they keep their productivity and develop their craft.
Every episode is a story of a unik person their lives, careers, view on the genre and on literature.
Not to mention its great to hear contemporary writers talk about the scene now, in 2015.
The hosts Mike and Dan are great, self aware and funny! But most importantly they let their gust talk, they do not interrupt but - just like us subscribers - they listen to their gust.
They also have narrative episodes where writers read their own short stories, a great complement to the interviews. It adds to the sense of community in some way, you hear the writers talk, and then get to enjoy some of their work.
All of this adds naturally up to what ‘This is horror’ and all great series dose whit us, the listeners,
it brings you the feeling of community. Of being a part of something familiar.
I discovered ‘This is horror’ in mid august this year and have been listening to eve
ry episode since, not to mention I’ve ordered and read this amazing literature by authors i never would have found otherwise. And it have given me new insights on the genre, literature, writing and creativity in general, heck, I’v even go so far as say that I’ve gotten new perspectives on family life Vs, creativity from all the different guests.
Yes 'This is horror’ is a genuinely great, podcast, Subscribe, try out some episodes, like with Stephen Graham Jones, Richard Thomas, Bob Pastorella or Josh Malerman.
Try ‘em out and I dare you to say you found it stale and didn’t get hooked.
