On today's broadcast we discuss a very sensitive yet crucial topic that few want to address- sexual danger and our children. The statistics are overwhelming when it comes to those who have been sexually violated and abused as children. As the Church, we must stand up to these threats against our children's purity and innocence. In their new book, Protecting Your Child From Predators: How To Recognize and Respond To Sexual Danger, Drs. Beth Robinson and Latayne Scott have laid out their observations and expertise from dealing with sexual abuse victims and help parents to map out a pre-emptive gameplan to protect and prepare their children to face the dangers in our fallen world. Dr. Robinson will be on the air with me to discuss the content and importance of this book in our culture as predators are among us.

In this episode, we will be dealing with the topic of food as we specifically look at what the Bible has to say about using and eating animals from several different perspectives. Joining us for the discussion is Dr. Paul Copan, Christian theologian, analytic philosopher, apologist, and author. He is currently a professor at the Palm Beach Atlantic University and holds the endowed Pledger Family Chair of Philosophy and Ethics.

We'll discuss Dr. Copan's newest book, What Would Jesus Really Eat: The Case For Meat Eating, edited with Dr. Wes Jamison. In this work, a group of scholars have applied their expertise in biblical studies, theology, philosophy, resource management, communication, and generational pig farming to write an accessible response for Christians who rightly believe that meat-eating is a gift from God. This book responds to leading challenges from animal activism outside the church- offering important biblical and practical correctives to a growing but misguided compassion- and even to bullying within the church.

In this episode, we will be dealing with the topic of sexual ethics, particular how to effectively reach our LGBT friends with truth and love. Joining us to discuss this topic is apologist Cameron Hodge. As a young child and into her young adult years she struggled with suicide, depression, cutting, and with the effects of sexual violation. Over the past several years Cameron has also opened up about her past struggle with bisexuality from which she has found freedom. Now, as a believer redeemed by the grace and Gospel of Jesus Christ, Cameron aims to provide hope, answers, and a defense of the Christian faith for those who struggle with the hard issues of Christianity and their personal faith walk with Jesus Christ.

Cameron holds a BA in Global Affairs and International Development and Master’s of Public Administration. In response to the call of God, Cameron earned a Master’s of Divinity in Christian Apologetics from Liberty University, in the summer of 2018. Currently, Cameron helps guide a chapter of Ratio Christi at UNC Greensboro and assists in guiding Youth Taking Charge (YTC) which is another campus ministry. She is also an entrepreneur, owning her own business. Learn more about Cameron at www.CameronHodge.com.
