Classic Replay: Will everyone be saved? With Robin Parry and Laurence M Blanchard
‘The Evangelical Universalist’ was published in 2006. The author claimed to be an evangelical Christian who believes that everyone will ultimately be saved. He published under a pen name, but a few years later revealed his true identity as Robin Parry, then editorial director of UK Christian publisher Paternoster (he’s now at Wipf and Stock Publishers).
Laurence M Blanchard, a pastor and author in California responds to Robin's arguments and raises questions such as "what's the point of evangelism if everyone will be saved?"
Originally broadcast 17th October 2009.

Classic Replay: The divinity of Jesus with Christian Richard Bauckham and sceptic James Crossley
Many have suggested that Christian belief in the divinity and worship of Jesus as God was a late development, and that Jesus' early followers did not regard him as being equal with God. So was Jesus merely regarded as an ‘elevated’ being? Was high Christology at odds with the Jewish monotheism of the first century?
New Testament scholar Richard Bauckham argues against these views. His book ‘Jesus and the God of Israel’ claims that the worship of Jesus as God was both very Jewish and very early. Agnostic scholar James Crossley contests Richard's claims.

Classic Replay: The Gospels as eyewitnesses Part 2 – Richard Bauckham and James Crossley
Richard Bauckham’s book ‘Jesus and the Eyewitnesses’ has been heralded as a paradigm shift in the way the authorship of the Gospels should be seen. Bauckham argues that the Gospels are based on eyewitness accounts and should be regarded as fundamentally trustworthy. New Testament historian James Crossley discusses the implications of Bauckham's work and whether the Gospel of John was written by the disciple John himself, as Bauckham claims.

Kundrecensioner
This had me thinking and keeps doing so
Are you looking for fierce cultural and religious debates between agitated opponents, this might not be the place for you. But, if you are willing to listen to balanced arguments of why Christians and non-Christians sometimes strongly disagree, this is the spot for you. Let me add that many other topics concerning morality, ethics and philosophy in general are also discussed and done so in a way remote from cheap rhetorical one liners not seldom encountered in a blogpost or a twitter feed. And that’s good! Aiming to provide an environment for the deeper questions of life without the need of provoking or nourish polarization, Unbelievable! and the prominent guests delivers. And that’s good, and in good we trust, don’t we?
Brilliant
A very good pod, that makes you think, give it a try, you do not have to be religious to appreciate this pod
Balanced
A nice pod cast where two sides of an issue are on display. Amazingly civil for such opposed views. I find the theology lacking and thin though. Each guest seems to bring their own interpretation of the gospel to the show and it frustrates me that I often disagree with the Christian position on the show due to incomplete or lacking theology.
