    Opposition parties have responded with mixed reactions to President Cyril Ramaphosa suggestion for a government of national unity, which Ramphosa says will reflect the will of people and help move the country forward. He was speaking at the end of the governing party's Special NEC meeting in Boksburg east of Johannesburg last night.     The SANDF, SAPS and an Air Mercy Services helicopter have assisted Gift of the Givers to distribute necessities to families in the Little Karoo who have been cut off due to flooding. Heavy rains over the past few days have resulted in various road closures, due to floods and rockfalls. The rain has however also been welcomed by farmers, following a seven year drought.     Community of Soshanguve bid farewell to Tiyinko and Pfumo Mashaba after the children were gunned down and set alight

    The two siblings from Soshanguve north of Pretoria, who were shot and killed inside their shack on Sunday (2 June), have been laid to rest.  Tiyinko and Pfumo Mashaba, aged 4 and 7, were shot multiple times by an assailant who allegedly stormed their home at Changing Spot Informal Settlement while they were sleeping, before setting it alight. Preliminary police investigations suggest that the perpetrator was after the girls' father, who was not at home during the incident. Speakers at the funeral called for justice to prevail.
