Just wait. Waiting is not something we’re typically good at. We want what we want and we want it now. But Christmas is a time of waiting. Advent reminds us to wait with hope. And there are times in the life of a church or in the life of an individual when we’re waiting on God. But waiting is not something we’re typically good at. And waiting on God to do what only God can do, that’s not easy either! So what would happen if we could learn the spiritual practice of waiting? What would change for us if we were able to trust God during the in-between moments of life? And what if it’s in the waiting that we are formed, transformed, and shaped into the person God desires for us to become? What if all that happened in the waiting?
