The Walk With Jesus ® Podcast, in partnership with Food For the Poor, is a compliment to the Walk With Jesus Text Experience.

Jesus Is Sentenced To Death

Pilate seeks to release Jesus because of his innocence, but the blood-thirsty onlookers demand his execution.
Siding with the crowd, Pilate delivers Jesus into the hands of soldiers who beat him, mock him, torture him, and crucify him between two thieves on a hill outside of Jerusalem. -
The Guard At The Tomb

The Pharisees fear Jesus' resurrection or that his body will be taken and ask Pilate to secure the tomb. -
Jesus Appears to Two Travelers
Luke 24:13-35
Later Sunday afternoon, two travelers are on their way to a town a few miles from Jerusalem. They're joined by another man who later agrees to share a meal with them. While they discuss what happened to Jesus, the two travelers realize the one with them is the risen Jesus himself. -
He Is Risen!

It's Sunday morning. The one who was dead is now very much alive. Two women make the discovery and run to tell people the news. -
Jesus Is Laid in the Tomb

A wealthy man named Joseph asks to bury Jesus. Pilate agrees, and Jesus is placed in Joseph's own tomb and a large stone is rolled across the entrance. -
Jesus Speaks His Final Words. It Is Finished.

It's 3:00 PM on Friday. Jesus' life is coming to an end. As he hangs on the cross, he utters his final words.

It's mid-afternoon on Friday. And Jesus has just died. While his lifeless body hangs on the cross, the Temple curtain splits, the earth shakes violently, and Jesus' closest followers and family look on from a distance.
