WHY PLASTIC with Mette from the Why Foundation

WHY PLASTIC with Mette from the Why Foundation

Plastic revolutionized our lives for the past decades. But now it becomes apparent, on land and in the ocean, how harmful plastic is for humans and the environment.
WHY PLASTIC? is a three-part investigative documentary series that busts the myths and misinformation, taking a closer look at what is fact and what is fiction.
I had the honor to collaborate with SEEDS Iceland on the film screening of "The Recycling Myth" and interview the CEO of the Why Foundation, Mette Hoffman Meyer.
Mette talks about the incredible educational work of the Why Foundation, distributing their documentaries to millions of people in underserved countries that lack access to the internet, free media, and/or reliable information.
The latest documentary WHY PLASTIC? reveals what happens to our trash, and often, what does not happen to it: getting recycled.
Listen to the episode to learn more about the reactions to the movies, and why one company tried to stop the documentaries from being screened.
