    Our Friend Sarah Johnson

    Our Friend Sarah Johnson

We couldn't have been luckier to have our first guest of season 2 be the incredible Sarah Johnson (she/her). The former owner of Omaha Bicycle Co., membership & volunteer coordinator for Mode Shift Omaha, co-host of Car Free Midwest, and the former candidate of Omaha City Council in District 1 sat down with us and really let it all out. As self proclaimed 'tangent queens' this episode reflects Sarah perfectly— present and fully focused on the conversation in front of her, with a few (maybe more) stops taken along the way.
To follow along with Sarah and to receive updates on Omaha's Council Club you can find her on Instagram @sj_obc, @sj4omaha or @carfreemidwest.

This episode is hosted by Scott Fields (they/she) @ladynamedscott and produced by Joshua LaBure (he/him) @figurepodcasts.

    Our Friend Maria Corpuz

    Our Friend Maria Corpuz

On the second episode of Whatsherface we brought Maria Corpuz to the studio. A force to be reckoned with, Corpuz is an Asian American woman from Omaha, Nebraska with a passion for creating community by combining her love of art and social justice through her project Nite Caps.

Together we explore her journey with mental health and therapy, how she keeps her finger on the pulse of social causes in Omaha, and her deep love for Fiona Apple's latest release 'Fetch the Bolt Cutters'. While often unafraid of expressing her thoughts on social media, this episode offers the opportunity to see the more vulnerable side of a community leader during a time when social gatherings are no longer an option.
