Evann sits down with Jamesha Lucas, who is one of the co-founders and the Chief Beauty Experience Officer of Bronzed N Glow, Detroit’s first Black-owned beauty and education hub. Jamesha founded Bronzed N Glow with her best friend, Destiny Thomas, with the mission to make an impact in their community and help others find their beauty within. Less than 10% of beauty supply stores in the U.S. are Black-owned, and Jamesha and Destiny want to change that narrative. With their 1,460 square-foot space located along the Avenue of Fashion, Jamesha and Destiny will be able to partner with local stylists, dermatologists and influencers to give Detroiters the shopping experience they deserve.
